Mystical Bulgarian TV series "Mamnik" earns three international awards

The mystical Bulgarian TV series “Mamnik” has built on its success on television and won three prestigious awards for Best Series at film festivals in the United States, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The co-production of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) also reached the final of the renowned Cinema Royale festival.

The film is based on the eponymous bestseller by Bulgarian writer Vasil Popov, with leading roles performed by actors Vladimir Penev, Ekaterina Lazarevska, Yordan Rasin, Marian Stefanov, Gringo-Bogdan Grigorov, Eli Skorcheva. 

The director of the fantasy thriller, filmed in the picturesque region of the town of Tran in Western Bulgaria, is Viktor Bozhinov.
