Prime Minister Rumen Radev will attend the NATO summit in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on 8 July, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported. The official Bulgarian delegation includes Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova, Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov and Chief of Defence Emil Eftimov.
On the eve of the summit, Radev will attend an official reception for heads of state and government hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Ahead of the leaders' summit, NATO allies unveiled major defence investment initiatives at a defence industry forum. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced a plan to allocate $40 billion to strengthen protection against drones.
