In the first match of the first qualifying round of the Champions League, Bulgarian football champions Levski tied 1–1 against Bosnian champions Borac in Banja Luka.
The Bulgarian team conceded a goal in the first half due to an error in their defensive play, but substitute Armstrong Oko-Flex equalised in the second half.
Akram Bouras made a costly mistake in the seventh minute when he passed towards the edge of the penalty area and the ball was intercepted by Stefan Jović. Jović found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and was fouled from behind by Nikola Serafimov, prompting Turkish referee Mehmet Türkmen to award a penalty.
After Luka Juričić converted the penalty in the ninth minute, the hosts took the lead.
Levski came out transformed for the second half, and their pressure paid off in the fifty-fifth minute when Oko-Flex equalised, making it 1–1.
