#soSofia develops AI guide for residents and visitors of Bulgaria's capital

A new digital guide is set to help both Sofia residents and visitors rediscover the city according to their personal interests. The AI-powered platform can create detailed itineraries for family outings with children, romantic evenings for couples, and even suggest suitable indoor locations for rainy days.

The project is currently being refined due to the complexity of training the artificial intelligence behind it, Ivo Dimitrov, co-founder of the #soSofia platform, told the Bulgarian National Radio.

According to Dimitrov, training the intelligent algorithm is far more challenging than it may appear. Its performance relies on the same principles as other modern AI-powered applications widely used today.

To receive the most useful recommendations, however, users need to provide the platform with clear, precise and specific prompts. The accuracy and relevance of the virtual guide's responses depend entirely on the quality of the questions it is asked.
