Heavy inbound car traffic reported at Kalotina border crossing

Traffic is heavy at the Kalotina border crossing with Serbia for passenger vehicles entering Bulgaria, the Border Police reported. Traffic at all other border crossings with Türkiye, Greece, North Macedonia and Romania is normal.

Over the past 24 hours, 30 serious road accidents have occurred in the country, leaving 37 people injured, according to Traffic Police data. Since the beginning of July, 177 road accidents have been recorded, resulting in 9 fatalities and 214 injuries. A total of 226 people have died in road accidents since the beginning of the year.
