The sixth edition of the Hisarlaka Experience festival opens on Friday at Hisarlaka Fortress, which rises above the town of Kyustendil in southwestern Bulgaria.
The three-day festival will feature Bulgarian and international performers. The opening night will see performances by the 100 Kaba Gaidi ensemble and singer Mona. Ivo Dimchev and Turkish band Lalalar are scheduled to perform on Saturday, while Arika Adams and The Fox and the Tomcats will close the festival on Sunday.
Hisarlaka Fortress is one of Kyustendil's best-known landmarks, offering panoramic views of the town and the surrounding countryside.
