Around 1,500 motorcyclists from across Bulgaria are expected to gather for a two-day rock festival near the iconic bridge built by renowned Bulgarian master builder Kolyu Ficheto, close to the town of Byala in northeastern Bulgaria.

The festival opens this evening with performances by the bands Uncle Ben and Steel Rider, Mayor Dimitar Slavov announced.

The programme continues on Saturday with drag racing, biker games and entertainment, followed by a concert by the legendary Bulgarian rock band Signal. The festival will conclude with a spectacular 3D mapping show projected onto the original section of Kolyu Ficheto's historic bridge.

Meanwhile, another major event for motorcycle enthusiasts is taking place in western Bulgaria. Motorcycle clubs from across the country and neighbouring states are gathering at the Krakra Fortress in Pernik for a three-day motorcycle rally, according to Petar Kovachev, chairman of Krakra MC.

The event features traditional biker games, a stunt show, a dedicated tattoo area and live music, with the band Elinor performing on stage.
