Warm July day ahead with no significant rainfall

On Wednesday, the lowest temperatures will range between 14°C and 20°C, around 14°C in Sofia. The weather will be sunny throughout the day. In the afternoon, cumulus clouds will develop over eastern areas and the mountains, but showers are expected only in isolated places. In eastern Bulgaria, there will be light to moderate north-northwesterly winds, shifting to east-northeasterly along the Black Sea coast after midday. Maximum temperatures will range between 31°C and 36°C, around 32°C in the capital city.

Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will be sunny, with cumulus clouds developing around and after midday. Rain is possible only in some areas along the northern coastline. Winds will be light to moderate from the north-northwest, shifting to east-northeast after midday. Daytime highs will range between 26°C and 30°C. The seawater temperature is 22°C-24°C. Sea state 1–2 on the Beaufort scale.

Sunny weather is also expected in the mountains. Cumulus clouds will develop in the afternoon, with brief showers possible only in isolated areas. Light north-northwesterly winds are expected, becoming moderate at higher elevations. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be around 22°C, at 2,000 metres around 14°C.

On Thursday morning, the weather will remain mostly sunny. In the afternoon, brief rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms will bring some relief from the heat in many parts of the country. Maximum temperatures will be 1–3°C lower.
