Charity gala concert for Saint Marina Church at Plovdiv's Ancient Theatre

A charity gala performance, "Light Through the Centuries", dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the restoration of the Metropolitan Church of Saint Marina in the city of Plovdiv, will take place this evening on the stage of the city's Ancient Theatre.

The concert is organised with the support of the Plovdiv Metropolitan Diocese, under the blessing of Metropolitan Nikolay of Plovdiv, and at the initiative of the church's board of trustees.

Taking to the stage at the Ancient Theatre will be Nina Nikolina, Marius Kurkinski, Maria Slavova, the Vladigerov Brothers, prima ballerina Marta Petkova, and principal ballet dancer Nikola Hadzhitanev. The performance will also feature the orchestra of the Prof. Asen Diamandiev Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv, the St Marina Church Choir, and students from the Art Voice Center.

The gala performance is being held in support of a charitable cause. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to help preserve and maintain churches in the Plovdiv Diocese and to support their spiritual and educational activities.
