Bulgaria
can play an important role in ensuring Ukraine’s energy supplies in
the coming winter, as it has the ability to significantly increase
the amount of gas delivered via the route to the country, Minister of
Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova said in an interview with Euronews.
On
July 15, she visits Kyiv, where strengthening energy cooperation will
be among the main topics of discussion.
“We
are looking at ways to support Ukraine in a way that is mutually
beneficial for both us and the entire region, and to strengthen the
region’s energy security,” Petrova said. She pointed out she was
focused on how Bulgaria and Ukraine can work more effectively
together to overcome the challenges ahead.
