The wave of summer tourists from Europe to Türkiye passes through Bulgaria

Traffic at the Kalotina border checkpoint with Serbia is intense at the entrance for passenger cars and it is also intense at the exit for cars at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint on the border with Türkiye, the Border Police reported. Crossing is normal at all other border checkpoints with Greece, North Macedonia and Romania.

The organization of traffic will be temporarily changed in two sections of the Trakia motorway in the Stara Zagora region on July 15 and 16 due to the removal of roadside vegetation, the Road Infrastructure Agency reported. Work will be carried out from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the sections between 161st and 163rd km and between 158th and 160th km in the lane in the direction of Sofia. The agency adds that on July 15, the clearing of roadside vegetation on the Trakia motorway will continue in the Sofia region and in the period from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the overtaking lane in the direction of Sofia will be gradually closed and traffic will be in the active lane between the 34th and 48th km.
