“Meraklii” from London receive award at prestigious festival in Wales

The Bulgarian folklore club “Meraklii” from London, led by Ventsislav Shopov, won first prize at the prestigious Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. The distinction was awarded in the Open Dance Group category.

The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is one of the most prestigious international music and traditional dance festivals in the world and the dancers from “Meraklii” glorified Bulgaria by presenting Bulgarian folklore, traditions and the spirit that Bulgarians carry in their hearts, the portal bgben.co.uk reports.

The club said that this award is for all those who keep the Bulgarian spirit alive, wherever they are in the world.
