Prime Minister says Bulgaria makes contribution to reaching peace in Ukraine

Bulgaria's decision not to participate in the "Coalition of the Willing" is a contribution to peace, Prime Minister Rumen Radev announced at the beginning of today's government’s meeting. According to him, this week the country made its contribution to shaping European foreign policy.

"It's not about personalities, but about defending national interests, as other Member States do," Radev said in his commentary on the 21st European sanctions package against Russia, BNR reporter Tsvetelina Stoyanova informs. Radev also publicly said for the first time that Russian oligarch Iskander Makhmudov is the third person Sofia requested not to be included in the 21st EU sanctions package against Russia. The reason is that one of his companies imported spare parts for old Russian trains that are going out of service in the capital's metro.
