Loudest bike competition highlights motorcycle rally near Kotel

The Sayganitsa area near the village of Kipilovo in southeastern Bulgaria has in recent years established itself as a favourite destination for motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country.

A trip to the nearby Kipilovo Fortress (Harsovgrad), considered one of the best-preserved Roman fortresses in the Balkans, is a highlight of the program of the “Kipilovo 2026” motorcycle rally (Swallow 33 MCC), which is part of the cultural calendar of the Municipality of Kotel. The program includes concerts, a motorcycle parade, riding games, tourism initiatives, children’s activities, and attractions for visitors.

The event opened with a concert by the Shumen-based alternative rock band LAMPA Inc.

Highlights of Saturday’s program include a motorcycle tour in honor of Georgi Sava Rakovski, as well as competitions for the most beautiful and loudest motorcycle. The rally continues until July 19.
