Prosecutor’s Office honors US law enforcement officials

Bulgaria’s Acting Prosecutor General Vanya Stefanova presented awards to officials from US Secret Service, the FBI, the US Department of Justice and the US Embassy in Sofia. The awards were presented in recognition of their contribution to strengthening cooperation between Bulgaria’s Prosecutor’s Office and US partner institutions, the Prosecutor’s Office said.

The awards recognize their substantial assistance and expert support in investigations involving pre-trial proceedings of significant factual and legal complexity, as well as for joint training programs that helped enhanced the professional qualifications and expertise of Bulgarian prosecutors and investigators handling cases related to serious, organized, and cross-border crime.
