Intense car traffic through Bulgaria towards Türkiye

Traffic is intense at the Kalotina border crossing on the border with Serbia at the entrance for cars, the Border Police report. On the border with Türkiye, traffic is intense at the exit for cars at the “Kapitan Andreevo” checkpoint. On the border with Romania, traffic is normal at all border crossings. From 10.07.2026, the ferry connection serving the Oryahovo – Bechet border crossing has temporarily suspended operations due to the low level of the Danube River. Crossing is normal at the beginning of the week at the remaining border checkpoints with Greece and North Macedonia.

The traffic organization on the Struma motorway and part of the first-class road network in the region of Kyustendil will be temporarily changed from July 20 to 24 due to roadside vegetation cleaning between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., the Road Infrastructure Agency reported.
