Lightning
has caused a fire in Pirin National Park. The fire is localized in
the Bayuvi Dupki-Djindzhiritsa reserve at an altitude of 1,400
meters. Dry grass and single trees are burning. The place is
difficult to access and can only be reached on foot, reporter in
Blagoevgrad, Keti Trencheva, informed.
Six
employees of the National Park, led by the director Rosen Banenski,
were the first to climb to the fire. He told the Bulgarian National
Radio that efforts are currently being made to limit the spread of
the fire by containing it within its perimeter. Fire-fighters
