The Bulgarian Voices of Seattle Women's Choir has released a new video performance of the beloved Bulgarian folk song Dzan, Dzan, Ganke Le, once again bringing the rich traditions of Bulgarian folklore to American audiences.
Under the baton of conductor Teodora Dimitrova and accompanied by accordionist Michael Lawson, the singers recreate the authentic sound of Bulgarian folk music in Washington State, according to EuroChicago.
The video was filmed amid the scenic surroundings of Flower World Gardens in Snohomish and CleverBug Farm on Whidbey Island. The choir is part of the Bulgarian Cultural Center in Seattle, an organization that has long been dedicated to preserving and promoting Bulgarian culture and traditions among the Bulgarian community abroad.
The new performance is yet another example of how Bulgarian folk music continues to unite Bulgarian communities around the world while keeping alive the memory of their ancestral roots.
