Car traffic at the Kalotina border crossing for entry into Bulgaria from Serbia and Kapitan Andreevo border crossing for exit to Türkiye is heavy on Wednesday morning, the Border Police reports. Passage through the remaining checkpoints on the borders with Greece, North Macedonia and Romania is normal.

Due to expert examinations, the Trakia motorway will be temporarily closed before Burgas for traffic in both directions on Wednesday, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Road Infrastructure Agency warned. In order to avoid traffic jams, the Traffic Police will regulate traffic on bypass routes. On July 22 (Wednesday) from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., on July 23 (Thursday), as well as on July 31 (Friday) from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on August 1 (Saturday), the electronic toll collection system will be updated, therefore difficulties may arise when purchasing vignettes. Drivers are advised to purchase the necessary vignettes in advance.
