Drone carried by waves has been neutralized 40 km from the Bulgarian coast

The Mine Countermeasures Black Sea Task Group of ​​Bulgaria, Romania and Türkiye destroyed a drifting drone, the Ministry of Defence reported.

An object floating 21 miles east of the town of Ahtopol was spotted on July 21. Turkish mine hunter "Akcay" inspected the object. It was found that it was an unmanned aerial vehicle with a broken wing. The underwater inspection did not find any ammunition attached.

Due to the possibility that ammunitions were inside, the Bulgarian mine hunter "Struma" and Romanian "Dumitrescu" patrolled around the drone and diverted passing ships. Later, Bulgarian divers blew up the dangerous object carried by the waves, BTA reports.
