From July 23 to 25, the southwestern town of Kyustendil will host the 22nd Silver Pafta International Folklore Festival, named after the decorative silver clasp traditionally worn on Bulgarian folk costumes, BTA reported.
For three days, performers from Georgia, Mexico, Armenia, Serbia, Cyprus, Peru, Israel and Bulgaria will showcase traditional music, dance and folklore.
The festival opens on July 23 with the traditional participants' parade, setting off at 6 p.m. and ending in Velbazhd Square. The official opening ceremony begins at 7 p.m., followed by a gala concert featuring all visiting ensembles.
