Bulgaria records the largest rise in fuel prices among EU countries

The prices of fuels and lubricating oils for personal vehicles in the EU increased by 13.7 percent in June compared to the same month in 2025, according to Eurostat data.
The increase was recorded in all member states, but their price increased the most in Bulgaria - by 26 percent, in Lithuania - by 23.5 percent, in Romania - by 23.1 percent and in Finland - by 22 percent. The smallest increase was in Hungary - by 2.3 percent and in Poland - by 5.8 percent.
In June, compared to May, diesel prices in the EU decreased in all countries, with the largest decreases recorded in the Czech Republic by 11.3 percent, Poland - by 9.7 percent and Bulgaria - by 9.4 percent, while the lowest decreases were recorded in Hungary by 0.6 percent, BTA reports.
