Beginning in August, the Thracian Art in the Eastern Rhodopes Museum Centre, home to the exact replica of the Alexandrovo Tomb near the village of Alexandrovo in the Haskovo region, will be open every day of the week, according to the Regional Museum of History in Haskovo, which manages the site. The museum is part of Bulgaria's 100 National Tourist Sites initiative.

In addition to the faithfully recreated Thracian tomb with its remarkable wall paintings, the permanent exhibition features a collection of 98 gold appliqués dating from 4500 to 4000 BC.
Together with the gold treasures from the Varna Necropolis and the gold necklace discovered near the village of Hotnitsa, they represent some of the oldest processed gold in the world.

The decision to remain open without a weekly closing day was made in response to increasing requests from visitors wishing to tour the museum on Mondays, which has traditionally been its day off, Regional Museum of History Director Veselina Uzunova told BTA.
She noted that, despite the museum's exceptional cultural and historical value, visitor numbers remain relatively modest, largely because the site is located away from the region's main transport routes.
