Framework of state expenditures in Budget 2026 has been approved

The parliament has adopted the framework of the state budget for 2026 at second reading with the planned revenues, expenditures and transfers at a deficit of 5.7%. There will be new state debt of up to 10.1 billion euros for 2026. The minimum monthly wage remains 620 euros.

125 MPs from "Progressive Bulgaria" voted "for", 84 from the other parliamentary groups - GERB-SDS, DPS, "Democratic Bulgaria", "We Continue the Change" and "Vazrazhdane" voted against. There were no abstentions, BTA reports. The opposition's proposals for changes in the revenue and expenditure parts of the draft law on the state budget for this year were rejected.
