Balchik opens "Classical Days": six evenings with free admission

For the seventeenth consecutive year, Balchik will host the International Festival "Classical Days", which will be held from July 25 to 30 on the open stage "Melnitsa" in the seaside town. The program features soloists and ensembles from Bulgaria, Switzerland, Austria and Romania, the Balchik Municipality announced.

All concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and are free. The event begins on July 25 with a concert by the Dobrich String Orchestra with soloist Austrian-Bulgarian pianist Donka Angacheva and conductor Arto Chifchiyan. The program includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Richard Addinsell and Dmitri Shostakovich.
