Initial sociological survey on attitudes before the presidential vote is now out

The potential presidential candidate of "Progressive Bulgaria" would receive the highest support from those willing to vote - 40%, followed by candidates of "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" - 13.3% and GERB-SDS - 11.5%. This is according to data from a nationally representative survey conducted by "Global Metrics" between June 23 and July 11.

The current head of state, Iliana Iotova has the highest support for the presidential post. 84% of BSP supporters and 78% of Progressive Bulgaria supporters approve of Iotova. Among those who do not recognize any party, 37% declare their readiness to support her. Andrey Gyurov has an approval rating of 23%. Lawyer and former Education Minister Daniel Valchev has 18 percent and acting Agriculture Minister Ivan Hristanov has 12%.
