The Ministry of Economy managed to prepare an adequate law, which is
being discussed urgently in parliament, in order to guarantee
reliable, uninterrupted operation of the refinery in Burgas, said
Prime Minister Rumen Radev at the beginning of the meeting of the
Council of Ministers.
At a closed session,
the government has declared Lukoil Aviation Bulgaria and Lukoil
Bulgaria Bunker as objects related to the national security of
Bulgaria. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Economy Alexander Poulev, BTA has reported.
The decision is part
of an anti-crisis plan to guarantee operational control over the
companies and to prevent risks to the operation of the refinery and
the fuel market. “The government respects the private interests,
but is guided solely and primarily by the interest of Bulgarian
citizens, Bulgarian households and consumers,” the Deputy Prime
Minister said.
