Bulgargaz requested a 4.5% increase in the price of natural gas for August instead of the initially planned price reduction of about one percent at today's open meeting of the energy regulator, reporter Yuliana Kornazheva informed. The reason for the proposed price of 39.43 euros/MWh is that due to planned repairs, the Azerbaijani company, which is Bulgaria’s main supplier, cannot fully deliver the quantities under the long-term contract.
The missing quantities
are planned to be delivered from Türkiye.
"At the
backdrop of the international situation, the proposed price of
Bulgargaz remains favourable for consumers in the country," the
chairman of the energy regulator, Plamen Mladenovski, said.
The Energy and Water
Regulatory Commission will make a final decision on the price of
natural gas for August tomorrow.
