On Friday morning, traffic is heaviest at the Kalotina border crossing

Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo and Kalotina border crossings, according to the Border Police. There are queues of passenger cars entering and leaving the country at both checkpoints. Traffic is flowing normally at all other border control points with Greece, North Macedonia, and Romania.

On Friday 31 July and Sunday 2 August, traffic restrictions for heavy goods vehicles over 12 tonnes will be in force in both directions on the Trakia and Struma motorways, and on the road through the Kresna Gorge. The Road Infrastructure Agency has announced that the restrictions will be in force from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Friday and from 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Sunday.
