Welcome to Bulgaria Today, the English-language podcast of Radio Bulgaria, hosted by Rositsa Petkova and Alexander Markov.

In today's edition, we bring you the latest news from Bulgaria, including the weather forecast for tomorrow first.

Then, we'll introduce you to eight-year-old Aruna Mira and her mother, Jazma Todoroff, descendants of Bulgarian emigrants in Argentina, whose long-awaited journey to Bulgaria turned into an unforgettable homecoming. From collecting pebbles in the village their family left behind more than a century ago to recording Bulgarian folk songs in the legendary studios of the Bulgarian National Radio, their story is a touching reminder that roots can remain strong, even across oceans and generations.

Of course, Bulgarian music will be coming at the end of the show with a performance of the BNR Folk Music orchestra.
