One of the emblematic areas of Sofia becomes pedestrian zone in August

Residents and guests of the capital city will have the opportunity to be outside and feel the pulse of Sofia in one of the most emblematic places - the central Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard, without worrying about traffic, during all weekends of the month. The pedestrian zone will cover the area around the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Ivan Vazov National Theater, the Royal Palace, the City Garden and Knyaz Alexander I Square and will be available to citizens from 6 am on Saturday to 10 pm on Sunday.

The initiative of the Sofia Municipality aims to both encourage more active and free use of public spaces and to draw everyone's attention to the wealth they step on in this part of the city center - the yellow paving, declared and recognized as immovable cultural heritage.
