99 conceptual designs for the future "Christo and Jeanne-Claude"
Center have been submitted for the architectural competition for
reconstruction and redevelopment of the former Textile Technical
School in Gabrovo. The goal is to turn the building into a
world-class center for contemporary art, which, together with the
nearby Museum of Humour and Satire, will form a cultural complex by
the Yantra River.

An international jury is about to review the anonymously submitted projects and select the five best, whose authors will receive a prize of 20,000 euros each. This is expected to happen in August, the initiator of the competition and director of the Museum of Humour and Satire, Margarita Dorovska, announced.
The idea of creating such a center in Christo Javacheff's
hometown of Gabrovo dates back to 1992.
