Bulgaria qualifes for European Baseball Championship for the first time

Bulgaria's men's national baseball team has qualified for the European Baseball Championship for the first time in its history. The Bulgarian side secured top spot in the Group B qualifiers, held in Blagoevgrad from 27 July to 1 August.

In the decisive match, Bulgaria defeated Slovenia 13:7, sealing a historic place at the continental finals.

The qualification tournament took place at Porter Park Stadium in Blagoevgrad, the only sports facility in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe that meets the requirements for hosting international baseball competitions of this level, according to sportal.bg.
