The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has published the 17th edition of Bulgaria in Figures® 2026, a reference guide designed to provide essential information for businesses and investors considering Bulgaria as an investment destination.
The publication presents key macroeconomic indicators for the past five years, covering areas such as the investment climate, tourism, imports and exports, education, the labour market and other important aspects of the Bulgarian economy.
Special attention is given to Bulgaria's position in major international rankings, offering investors a valuable benchmark. According to the BCCI, the country's weaker positions in some of these rankings should serve as a basis for the government and public institutions to develop policies and measures aimed at improving Bulgaria's international competitiveness.
Published in English, the guide provides concise, reliable and objective information for international partners exploring Bulgaria's investment potential. All data are drawn from official sources, BTA reports.
The publication also highlights Bulgaria's performance in three key pillars among 101 countries:
- Regulatory Framework: 16th place with 76.98 points
- Public Services: 29th place with 66.51 points
- Operational Efficiency: 29th place with 66.52 points
Another key message of this year's edition is the BCCI's firm opposition to raising taxes. The Chamber's President reiterates the business community's commitment to preserving fiscal stability by avoiding changes to the tax system that would increase the tax burden.
The Bulgaria in Figures® guide is distributed to foreign embassies, trade missions and international partners. A free electronic edition in English is also available on the BCCI's website.
