Bulgaria is leader in the EU in daily use of tobacco products

Bulgaria is in first place in the European Union in terms of the share of people who use tobacco products daily. This is shown by Eurostat data published today.

In 2025, 26.3% of Bulgarians aged 16 and over used tobacco and related products (electronic cigarettes, nicotine pouches or heated tobacco products) every day. Sweden and Croatia are next, and the Netherlands is in last place with 9.9%.
