Yanka Rupkina's voice features in Ellie Goulding's new single

The new single Ravers by British singer Ellie Goulding opens with a fragment of the Strandzha folk song Kalimanku Denku, performed by the late Bulgarian folk singer Yanka Rupkina, according to her label, Universal Music. The news was first reported by the Bulgarian daily Dnevnik.

Rupkina's recording is not used simply as an introductory sample, but forms an integral part of the song's opening, Universal Music said.
