Museums in Gorna and Dolna Oryahovitsa continue Family Saturdays programme

The History Museum in Gorna Oryahovitsa and the Ethnographic Museum in Dolna Oryahovitsa are continuing their Family Saturdays programme through August, offering educational activities for children and adults.

This year's programme at the History Museum includes games introducing visitors to historical artefacts, as well as demonstrations of historical weapons, clothing and combat techniques by members of the Tradition National Society.

From Aug. 8, the programme moves to the Ethnographic Museum in Dolna Oryahovitsa, where the focus will be on traditional food. Potters Anna and Dimitar Spasov will lead a workshop with children, while chef Ivaylo Ivanov will demonstrate the preparation of ritual breads the following week.
