Deadline for indicating prices in both euro and lev expires

The dual indication of prices for goods and services in lev and euro ends on August 8, 2026, the official website of the Bulgarian National Bank and the Ministry of Finance - Evroto.bg recalls. From Sunday, August 9, the lev will disappear as a reference for comparison and only values ​​in euro will be displayed on labels, signs and receipts. There is no obstacle if a trader decides that this will gain the trust of their customers to continue to display the lev equivalent of goods and services. The adaptation period is set in the Law on the Introduction of the Euro, which entered into force on August 8, 2025 and does not provide for any transitional period after August 8, 2026 for indicating prices in both currencies.
