CSKA Sofia wins 3-0 against Maccabi Tel Aviv in Europa League qualifiers

CSKA's football team won 3-0 away against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the first match of the third qualifying round of the Europa League. The match was played in Batumi due to the unstable political situation in the Middle East.

CSKA played a very strong first half and went into the break with two goals ahead, scored by Max Ebong in the 9th minute and by Leandro Godoy in the 30th. Maccabi started the second half more actively and gradually imposed territorial pressure, with the Israelis missing several chances. In the 90th minute CSKA scored a third goal through substitute Joël Zwarts and took a solid lead before the match in Sofia in a week, BTA reports.
