Bulgarica will represent the Bulgarian community at culture festival in Illinois

The Bulgarica dance ensemble of the Bulgarian Cultural Center of Chicago, USA, will showcase Bulgarian folklore at the Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures, to be held on August 22 in the Chicago suburb of Mount Prospect, Illinois. The Cultural Center announced the event on its Facebook page.

The festival brings together representatives of different ethnic and cultural communities, who present the traditions and heritage of their countries of origin to local residents and visitors.

The Bulgarian dancers are scheduled to perform at 3:20 p.m. local time on the main stage, while the festival programme begins at 11 a.m. The event will take place at 420 Dempster Street in Mount Prospect, and admission is free for visitors of all ages.

The Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures is an annual multicultural festival organised by the Village of Mount Prospect to celebrate the cultural diversity of the community. The event celebrates the traditions, music, cuisine, art and heritage of the various ethnic groups living in the area, the Bulgarian Cultural Center of Chicago notes.
