Ukraine to assist in clarifying circumstances related to drone near Kardam

Bulgaria has asked Ukraine to provide all available information that could contribute to the full clarification of the circumstances surrounding the case of the drone that entered and exploded on Bulgarian territory on Saturday. The machine, as the Minister of Defence announced, was manufactured in Ukraine.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova held a 30-minute meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk. Quoted by the press center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Petrova stated that it was essential for Bulgaria to take the necessary measures to prevent similar cases in the future. Ilashchuk said that Ukraine did not intentionally direct unmanned aerial vehicles towards Bulgaria. She confirmed the readiness of the Ukrainian side to provide full assistance in clarifying all circumstances.
