Over 50% of the length of the two tunnels part of the Kresna bypass has been dug. In the "Kresna 1" tunnel, 210 m out of a total of 359 m have been dug, and in the "Kresna 2" tunnel - 130 m out of 231 m.. Work is also underway on the construction of three viaducts on the bypass. On the two bridges over the Struma River and on the bridge over the Vlahinska River along the route, all foundations have been completed. The first 200 m of the bypass coincides with road I-1, after which it continues along a new route. At the end of the section there will be a recreation area, after which a connection with the first-class road I-1 Sofia - Kulata will be built. The site will have 50 parking spaces for trucks and buses and 49 parking spaces for cars. The section will be nearly 4.2 km long. With the construction of the route, transit traffic will be moved outside the settlement and traffic safety will increase.
