The host city of Eurovision 2027 should be announced this month

Whether the host city of Eurovision 2027 will be Sofia or Burgas will be announced on Wednesday, August 12, EuroMix - Eurovision 2026 reports. This is a site that follows everything about the song contest, but it is not the official website of Eurovision. There is also no official confirmation from BNT whether Wednesday is the day of the selection. But the expectations are that by the end of the week the host city will probably be known.

The selection committee was supposed to announce the city by the end of July, but this did not happen. Until then, Sofia was considered the favourite. A week later, the bets were already equal and both cities had about a 50% chance. Shortly after, Burgas overtook the capital on the betting sites Bitget Wallet and Prediction Hunt. But it does not depend on them who the host city will be. The final decision is made jointly by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the Bulgarian National Television (BNT), writes 24chasa.bg.
