The
average monthly salary in Bulgaria was 1,444 euros in the second
quarter of 2026. The salary increased by 2.6 percent (1,407 euros)
compared to the first quarter of 2026, the National Statistical
Institute announced.
Compared
to a year earlier, in the second quarter of 2025, the average salary
increased by 9.8 percent, with the largest increase in the extractive
industry - by 24 percent, in agriculture by 19.5 percent, and in
other activities - by 15.7 percent.
The
economic activities with the highest average monthly salary of
employees are: “Creation and dissemination of information and
creative products”; “telecommunications” - 3,079 euros and in
“Financial and insurance activities” - 2,140 euros; “Energy”
- 2,036 euros.
The
lowest paid were those employed in: "Hotel and restaurant
management" - 918 euros; "Agriculture, forestry and
fishing" - 1031 euros and in "Other activities" - 1053
euros.
