Bulgaria’s sea capital is celebrating its holiday with a rich program combining spirituality, tradition, music and festive events. The celebrations begin with a solemn Divine Liturgy at the Dormition of the Mother of God Cathedral. A military ceremony will take place at Saints Cyril and Methodius Square.
Throughout the day, the Rakovina Stage in the Sea Garden will host musical performances, dance shows, and theatrical productions by Bulgarian artists and performers representing a variety of genres. In the evening, the festivities will continue at the Summer Theatre with a gala concert and an official ceremony, during which the Mayor of Varna will confer the title of Honorary Citizen of Varna on distinguished individuals who have contributed to the development of the coastal city.
