European Mountain Bike Downhill Championship opens at Vitosha Mountain

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Sofia and Vitosha Mountain will host the biggest and most spectacular extreme sports event in Bulgaria this year, bringing together more than 300 of the best mountain bikers from 26 countries, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reports.

The European Mountain Bike Downhill Championships will officially open on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the finish area of the Vitoshko Lale ski run. The event will be launched in the presence of Sofia Deputy Mayor Georgi Klisurski.

The organizers note that the ceremony venue can be reached by car via the road to Aleko Hut, with a signposted turn-off to the left several kilometers before the hut.
