Nikolay Genchev will represent Bulgaria in the World Paella Championship final

Bulgarian chef Nikolay Genchev is among the finalists of the World Paella Day Cup 2026. He will be one of the representatives of 12 countries competing on September 20 at La Marina de València for the title of “Best Paella in the World”.

Nikolay Genchev is the third Bulgarian competitor in the World Paella Championship, following Nikolay Todorov and Kaloyan Kolev, who proudly represented Bulgaria in the previous two editions of the international competition.

World Paella Day is an initiative of the Visit València Foundation aimed at establishing paella as one of the most versatile dishes in global gastronomy while promoting its authentic origins and its inseparable connection with Valencia.
