Welcome to Bulgaria Today, the English-language podcast of Radio Bulgaria, on August 13, hosted by Rositsa Petkova and Alexander Markov.
In the next few minutes, we’ll bring you the day’s leading stories from Bulgaria, along with the latest weather forecast.
We’ll also turn our attention to Bulgarians living abroad and to an initiative that has brought together Bulgarian Sunday schools from across the world. As Radio Bulgaria’s “Lesson on Bulgaria” initiative marking the 90th anniversary of our media draws to a close, we’ll hear about the young people who shared their own stories of Bulgaria, and about the importance of preserving language, memory and a sense of belonging far from home.
And, as always, we’ll end the programme with music from Bulgaria, this time with a performance by the Bulgarian National Radio Folk Music Orchestra.
