In 2027, construction is expected to begin on the last section of the Struma motorway between Krupnik and Kresna in the Kulata-Sofia lane. The Kresna bypass should be completed by the end of next year. This became clear during today's inspection of the bypass under construction and the terrain along the route, which the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Shishkov and Minister of Agriculture and Food, Plamen Abrovski, jointly conducted.

Shishkov pointed out that the section with a length of nearly 4.2 km, the construction of which began in November 2025, is being actively built. According to him, 2031 is a realistic deadline for completing the Struma motorway lane in the Kulata-Sofia direction.
