The band “Tornado” has recorded a new song featuring Dicho, the lead vocalist of the band D2. The song is titled “Nerazbran” (Misunderstood) and addresses a particularly relevant issue—the relationship between parents and children.
The idea for the song came to the band’s frontman, Nikola Zdravkov, during the Covid-19 pandemic:

“Tornado’ is a band that has always written about social issues, always reflecting what we see happening in society. As grown men with families, we follow our children’s development and recognize the shortcomings we need to address within ourselves as parents, as well as the guidance we need to give them. So, ‘Nerazbran’ is a reflection of what we see happening with our children, and a message to us as parents that we need to pay more attention to them, because they are our future—they are the future of Bulgaria.”
The musicians particularly focus on the factors that are drawing our children away from reality and genuine human interaction. The band sums up its message:

“The digital world is evolving at lightning speed, changing the way we live, raise our children, and communicate. We grew up playing outside our apartment blocks—running around, playing games, trading stickers and marbles, and forming friendships and relationships face to face. Today, most of those playgrounds are empty, overgrown, or have been turned into parking lots, and our children do not even look for them—because their ‘whole world’ fits inside a small device in their pocket.
‘Nerazbran’ tells the story of this dramatic change. It is about the clash between generations and the silence that creeps in between us when a screen becomes closer than another person. It is a story about self-awareness—about the direction we are heading in, often without realizing the scale of the consequences.
‘Nerazbran’ is a message to us, the parents—a reminder that we are the example, the light, and compass in our children’s lives. They look to us, not to their devices. True connection is not transmitted through a network, but through presence, attention and love.”
The musicians’ next live performances are scheduled for September 11 in Sliven, followed by an appearance at Green Rock Fest Ruse on September 13.
